Suicide or Genocide?

Yesterday, a 20-year-old boy shot him self to death in Examillia village, in the region of Corinthia. The day before, another 19-year-old committed suicide in the city of Alexandroupolis.

On Wednesday, a 30-year-old man killed himself in Ioannina.
On Tuesday three more Greeks ended their lives in the city of Larissa.
On Monday, in the city of Pyrgos, a 56-year-old man bled to death after cutting his wrists .
On Sunday another one tried to shoot himself in Athens.

Since economic crisis hit Greece, suicides turned into a daily phenomenon.

In this sun-kissed land, almost three people commit suicide each day. Before recession, less than one Greek committed suicide per day and Greece had the lowest suicide rate in Europe.

From 2009 to 23 August 2012, 3.124 suicides were confirmed while the real number is even higher and suicide rates keep rising fast.

Even worst, as Greece has already entered the sixth (!) year of recession there's still no sight of light.
